Step into the Highlands’ little corner of Spain with this intimate tapas bar and restaurant.
Hearty paellas serve two (generously!) but take 45 minutes as they are made fresh, so enjoy tapas and glass of wine as you wait. There is only one vegan paella (chickpea and artichoke) but it is flavourful, saffron-infused and packed with ingredients. From the tapas a special shout out to the agave syrup-drizzled aubergine fritters and the marinated Spanish Gordal olives.
Vegan and gluten-free options are shown in the online menu but inconsistently marked in the restaurant. Olives and pan con tomate are vegan despite only being marked vegetarian and check descriptions as some dishes can be vegan, such as the patatas bravas and the previously mentioned aubergine fritters. Vegan wines are identified on the drinks list and they normally have oat milk if you just fancy a coffee. Takeaway and home delivery are both available.
Bonus points for: relaxed, informal atmosphere, you could book for dinner or just stop in for a beer and tapas at the bar, great wines plus a choice of sangria cocktails. You could also pick up a hamper of goodies with paella dishes, spices and ingredients stocked.
