Enjoy vegan treats galore at this new plant-based mobile takeaway in Culloden (Thursdays and Sundays), offering standout sandwiches, soup, cakes, pastries and drinks.
We tried a Green Goddess Panini which is crammed with pea and walnut pesto, avocado, grilled artichoke and vegan cheese on homemade focaccia. Also had the BLT with facon, avocado, tomato, lettuce and smoked mayo on bloomer bread – both were excellent and extremely filling. When I visited there was also a tofu mushroom quiche with sun-dried tomatoes, which looked too good to resist, so I had to take away for later.
Obviously I had to try some cakes as well, so can confirm the blueberry croissant is fab as is the nanaimo bar.
Carrie-Anne, the cooking talent behind it all is really going the extra mile, making everything from scratch, whether it is the focaccia for toasties, the croissants, her own cashew cheese or fresh pesto.
100% recommend visiting. Feeling a bit envious of all the folks living in Culloden right now.
