A fantastic bakery in town which, as well as freshly-baked sourdough, offers sit-in for breakfast, lunch, coffee and cakes. Owners Fernando and Tristan are clearly passionate about food and I’m confident will never serve dishes they don’t believe are delicious. The breakfast and lunch menus have plant based options marked (today I chose from three vegan lunch options) and the staff are friendly and happy to help if you’re unsure.
A rare treat for Inverness is the selection of vegan croissants and pain au chocolat (and sometimes other pastries) as well as a decadent chocolate and cherry cake adorned with raspberries (which is also gluten free).
Some recent savoury offerings: the Xoko taco with beanballs with housemade corn tacos and red rice; avocado and Pico de Gallo on toasted sourdough; Gujarati dal served with sourdough and vegan butter.
You can order a limited selection of items for collection, including a vegan breakfast box and wholemeal sourdough.
